Art Every Day

"Incarnation" Created on my Droid X

Recently I made a commitment to myself that I would make art every day whether it was a doodle on my cell phone, or something solid like a ceramic piece. For the last two months or so, I have been creating at least one piece a day based on a word or thought from a list my friends and family give me of words they find empowering or inspiring such as "Incarnation" seen here. My Celtic Dreams series was born of my art every day challenge, and shouts out to Liz of FTL for the inspiration and motivation to create daily!

For a while I was sick in bed every day, and made Daily Doodles on my phone which can be found on my facebook page in the Phone Art album. They eventually morphed into what I now call Meditative Markings which includes Zentangles, Zentangle Inspired Art, Mandalas, and the like, usually begin from a freehand drawing or Zentangle. An example of a Meditative Marking is Bullseye seen to the right here.
